Privacy Policy

FocuX ("we", "our", or "the app") is a productivity and wellness application that helps you manage focus sessions (Pomodoro), guided breathing exercises, and personal well-being. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains clearly what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights.

FocuX stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Pomodoro timer settings (session length, break durations, auto-start preferences)
• Completed session counts and total focus time (for your stats display)
• Bookmarked breathing techniques
• App theme preference (dark / light mode)

All of the above is stored using Android's SharedPreferences — a secure local key-value store. None of this data ever leaves your device.

• Name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
• Location or GPS data
• Camera or microphone access
• Contacts or calendar data
• Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID, etc.)
• Crash reports or analytics sent to external servers
• Usage patterns or behavioural data

FocuX requests only the minimum permissions necessary:

• Vibration — used for haptic feedback on timer completion and button taps. No data is read or transmitted.
• Audio playback — used to play local sound effects (timer dings). No microphone access is requested.

We do not request Internet, Location, Contacts, Camera, Storage, or any other sensitive permissions.

FocuX does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting services, or social login providers. There are no external network requests made by the app.

FocuX is suitable for users of all ages. Because we collect no personal data whatsoever, there is no risk to children's privacy. The app does not knowingly collect any information from any user, including children under the age of 13.

All preferences saved by FocuX reside in Android's SharedPreferences, which are sandboxed to the app and protected by the operating system. Uninstalling FocuX permanently removes all locally stored data. We cannot access this data — and neither can anyone else.

Because FocuX does not collect or process any personal data remotely, the following actions are always available to you:

• Delete all data — simply uninstall the app from your device.
• Reset preferences — clear the app's storage via Android Settings → Apps → FocuX → Clear Data.
• No account required — FocuX never asks you to create an account or sign in.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of FocuX after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
